Anna Maria Villa thrills audiences with her emotion-filled interpretations, singing and entertaining to evoke a smile, a tear, and even a laugh from her listeners. She draws you into the story with her passion and soothes you with her distinctive sound: warm bell tones and breathy whispers. Her style: smooth, elegant, smoky and fun.
Her repertoire includes Jazz, Standards, Swing, Bossa Nova, Great American Songbook, and Italian Classics. In addition to English and native Italian, she also sings in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
She performs with accomplished musicians from around the globe, and was first mentored by the late Lou Saxon with whom she had a 15-year career singing in the Lou Saxon Orchestra, Jazz Quartet, Blues Band, and Jam Band.
Anna Maria is also a film and television actress.
Anna Maria was born in Abruzzo, Italy, in the little town of Celano, province of L’Aquila, and spends much of her time between the United States and Italy.
